Hi, my name is Mrs. Zern.   I teach 2nd grade.  This will be my eighth year teaching at Kingsley.  I have developed such a love for my Kingsley community and look forard to each coming year!  I recieved my B.A. in Elementary Education and Literacy from UNI in 2007.  In 2012, I recieved my Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.  I work hard to create a classroom environment where my students feel safe, comfortable, and excited to learn!  I believe in having a playful, yet purposeful attitude with my students and encourage them to have the same.

 

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family.  My husband, Tim, and I live with our daughter, Ava, in Cedar Falls.  We celebrated Ava's first birthday this past summer. She keeps us very busy, but we are enjoying every minute!  We love being active and spending time with friends and family.  We especially love visiting our adorable niece and nephews whenever we get a chance!
